A love of learning, not just facts
The best elementary schools teach kids to enjoy learning, not just to memorize and move on. That spark, that "I want to know more," is one of the most valuable things a school can give a child. Look for classrooms where kids are curious, active, and excited, not just quiet and compliant. Hands-on, project-based learning is one great sign.
